Y’all I just watched the replay of Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford’s free skate performance at the Olympics and I felt like I’m gonna cry.
Since when did I get this invested in figure skating? I remember watching figure skating at the Olympics every 4 years, but not with the amount of time investment I am doing now. I mean, oh my god that performance made me cry.
I watched both the team performances and their individual event performances and oh lord, Meagan smiles that wide and enjoys every last moment of that skate. I also think their choice of music was so incredible (sucker for Adele here).
Gives you a feeling of how you should live your life, shouldn’t you? Enjoy every moment while you’re at it.

We here at Sea Shepherd are COMPLETELY against finning. It is insane brutality, and absolutely wrong on the most basic of ethical grounds. We’ve devoted entire teams of Sea Shepherd just to focus on this task. But if you don’t believe us, watch this video. Not only does Gordon show how restaurants prepare their “gourmet” shark fin soup, but this internationally renowned, Michelin Star chef admits: “It tastes of nothing, almost like plain noodles… The broth is delicious, but it could have anything in there… The one item that is spoiling [the dish] is the shark.“
He also shows what Sea Shepherd uncovered as well: roofs full of shark fins worth millions of dollars. Then he shows, first hand, how shark fishers kill and fin sharks on the boats, allowing people to witness the brutality with their own eyes. It’s not pretty. But the more people who know this cruelty, the better, because this is real life. These endangered species are dying every single day by callous people who simply do not care. This needs to stop, and we need to be the ones to be at the forefront to stop it.
